Reiki is a form of alternative medicine called "Energy Healing." Reiki practitioners use hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the person in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. 

 

Although Reiki is is a valuable therapy, it is not covered by most health insurance companies.
